Welcome to Diff Forge AI

Learn the desktop-first agentic development environment: workspaces, loopspaces, todos, native permissions, cloud presence, account tools, and the API surfaces that connect them.

What Diff Forge is

Diff Forge AI is a native Rust desktop client for running multiple coding agents against real local repositories. The app gives each workspace a project root, terminal grid, todo queue, file browser, git view, account tools, and optional cloud presence.

The cloud is a coordination and sync layer. The desktop app stays the authority for local files, terminal commands, scripts, MCP tools, and native permissions.

Core product surfaces

Workspaces

A named local project root with terminals, todos, files, git actions, tools, architecture, and history.

Loopspaces

Visual automation blueprints for repeatable agent workflows, triggers, nodes, edges, and run logs.

Todos

Shared task items that can be listed, queued, targeted to terminals, resumed, and tracked through dispatch receipts.

Account tools

Docs, skills, scripts, MCPs, plugins, CLIs, assets, devices, and remote controls attached to the account.

Recommended learning path

  1. Create a workspace

Point Diff Forge at a local repo and let the desktop client own local file and terminal authority.

  2. Run a small agent task

Start with one focused todo, watch the terminal, then review the summary, tests, and changes.

  3. Queue and target todos

Use the todo queue, drag items to terminal panes, and let the scheduler dispatch work to available agents.

  4. Install tools

Add skills, scripts, MCPs, CLIs, and plugins once the core workflow is comfortable.

  5. Move into loopspaces

Turn repeated workflows into loopspace blueprints with triggers, routing nodes, and explicit run history.
